A weak 12V battery causes no-start conditions, random warning lights, and electrical gremlins on hybrids, even when the hybrid pack is fine. We test and replace the auxiliary 12V battery on the spot.
Signs of a weak 12V battery
- The key fob will not unlock the car
- The car will not start, or the lights flicker
- Dim headlights or dome lights, slow windows
- The trunk will not open
- A dash message telling you to park on level ground and apply the parking brake

Is it the 12V battery or the hybrid battery?
A dead 12V battery stops the car from booting at all: no dash, no ready light. A failing hybrid battery usually still starts the car and throws the red triangle with codes like P0A80. We test both before replacing anything.
Is my 12V battery dead? →Can I jump-start a hybrid?
Yes, from the trunk battery or the under-hood jump point. Red is positive, black is negative. Cables connected backwards blow the main fuse and can damage the DC/DC converter.
