Inverter FAQ
Is it the inverter or just the pump?
Often just the pump. The inverter water pump keeps the inverter cool; when it fails you get P0A93 and the car keeps driving for short distances. Ignore it and the inverter can overheat, which is a much bigger repair. We check the pump first.

It can be. Dealerships often suggest a battery for codes like P0AA6 when a sub-code points at the inverter, compressor, or transaxle. Bring us the codes and we will tell you which it is.

Yes. Jumper cables connected backwards can damage the inverter and set P0A08 and P0A09. Red is positive, black is negative.
