Last updated – 07.26
The following is the current Hometown Hybrids, LLC Limited Warranty. Warranty coverage, duration, and eligible repairs are determined by the customer's invoice.
What This Warranty Covers:
This warranty covers defects in parts supplied and repair work performed by Hometown Hybrids, LLC (“HH”), as described on your invoice, under normal operating conditions.
What This Warranty Does Not Cover:
This warranty does not cover vehicle components or repairs not described on your invoice. HH is not liable under this warranty for incidental or consequential damages, including loss of income, loss of use, towing, diagnostic, rental, transportation, installation, or removal costs incurred by you or a third party. The remedies stated in this warranty are your exclusive remedies.
Additional Limitations for High Voltage Battery (“HV Battery”) Repairs:
Damage to or failure of the HV Battery resulting from any of the following is not covered:
- Accidents or other external causes beyond HH's control.
- Non-operation of the vehicle for more than 30 consecutive days without maintaining the HV Battery as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
- Failure to follow the manufacturer's maintenance schedule, unrelated vehicle defects, or continued operation after warning indicators or DTCs are present, when such conditions cause or contribute to the HV Battery damage or failure.
- Misuse or abuse, including vehicle modifications that cause the HV Battery to operate in a manner not intended by the manufacturer.
- Tampering with or disassembly of the HV Battery, or removal except by HH or a qualified repair facility performing unrelated repairs.
- Unauthorized replacement, exchange, or rearrangement of battery modules after installation. HH maintains identifying records for each module.
- Deep discharge following fuel depletion, engine or regenerative-system malfunction, or prolonged storage.
- Conditions indicated by the following diagnostic trouble codes (“DTCs”) or manufacturer-specific equivalents: P3191 (Engine Does Not Start), P3193 (Fuel Run Out), P3190 (Poor Engine Power), P0A0F (Engine Failed to Start), C1256 (Accumulator Low Pressure), or C1391 (Accumulator Pressure Leak).
How Long This Warranty Lasts:
Coverage lasts for the time or mileage limit specified on your invoice, whichever occurs first. Warranty service will not extend or restart the warranty.
How To Get Warranty Service:
For warranty information or service, call HH at (979) 848-6868. HH may require documentation, including DTCs, before scheduling or performing warranty service. For HV Battery claims, if the vehicle is more than 100 miles from HH's nearest service facility, you must ship the HV Battery to HH's Magnolia, Texas facility. HH may charge a service fee if an employee is dispatched and warranty service is not required because of a material misrepresentation or omission.
What We Will Do:
If HH determines that parts supplied or repair work performed by HH are defective under this Limited Warranty, HH will, at its discretion, repair or replace them using new, remanufactured, or functionally equivalent components. All warranty service and shipments require prior authorization. HH may require you to deliver the vehicle or return warranted parts to an HH-designated service location. You are responsible for transportation, shipping, and packaging costs.
Our Legal Disclaimer:
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE ONLY EXPRESS WARRANTY PROVIDED BY HOMETOWN HYBRIDS, LLC. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.
How State Law Applies:
